Meet Athena, Thelma, and Louise—three sweet, 2 year-old Lab mixes who have spent the last 400 days trapped in a shelter with little hope of being saved. These loving girls have been confined to their kennels for 99% of their days, leaving them with little opportunity to run, play, or experience the life they truly deserve. Time is running out, and they need foster homes to give them a second chance at a happy life.
Despite their challenging circumstances, each of these dogs remains friendly, loving, and full of energy. They adore play sessions and would thrive in a foster home where they can burn off their energy and enjoy life outside the shelter walls. These active pups would benefit from a home where they can receive structure, exercise, and plenty of attention.
Athena, Thelma, and Louise are all friendly with humans, though we recommend foster homes with older kids—kids who are able to take them outside and engage in fun activities like ball games. They could also live with other dogs, but they will need a home that can provide structure and accountability. Cats have not been tested, so we aren’t sure how they would do with them.
These sweet girls deserve so much more than the confines of a shelter. If you have the time to give one (or all) of them a chance, they will reward you with endless love, loyalty, and joy. Please consider opening your heart and home to Athena, Thelma, or Louise—time is running out for them to find their forever homes.
