Meet Sammy!

Sammy is a bundle of joy wrapped in a furry coat! He's sweet, docile, and always wears a wagging tail. His happiness is infectious, and his curiosity about the world around him is boundless. Sammy loves nothing more than cuddling up with his favourite humans, playing with toys (especially with his doggy friends!), and enjoying the occasional cheesy treat.

Sammy is a smart boy who has mastered crate training and house training like a pro. He gets along famously with his foster brother and shows no signs of aggression or guarding behaviours.

Sammy thrives in a loving environment where he can receive plenty of attention and affection. He bonds deeply with his humans and loves to be close to them, so a family who enjoys cuddle sessions and interactive playtime would be perfect for him. Due to his prey drive noticed on walks, he's not recommended for homes with cats. Aside from his heart-shaped nose marking and irresistible charm, Sammy has a heart of gold. His gentle nature and playful spirit make him a wonderful companion for anyone looking to add a loving dog to their family.

He can be a bit unsure around unfamiliar dogs while on leash. He's working on his leash reactivity and will benefit from continued training and patience in this area.  It is important Sammy is set up for success. His future training around leash reactivity is vital for his long-term success. As dog owners, we sometimes do not realize that we ourselves are giving off the wrong vibes or mixed instructions when trying to correct bad behaviour. His adoption fee is $750, but we propose lowering it to $300 and re-investing the remaining $450 into a trainer of his new owner's choice.
