About Stella:
Stella is a loving and intelligent dog who is looking for a forever home that can provide her with the attention and training she needs. She was initially given away because her initial family found they couldn't handle her, particularly around their young, active children. Stella is not working out in her new home and we need to find her something specific.

Loving and Affectionate:** Stella shows her love with lots of affection and enjoys being around her people.
Smart and Energetic:** She is very intelligent and active, requiring a home that can provide both mental and physical stimulation.
Playful:** Stella has a playful nature but can get overly excited, especially around children and other dogs.
Training and Behavior:
House Trained: Fully house trained
Crate Trained: She goes to her crate but may bark initially. She settles within a few minutes.
Leash Trained: Walks well on a leash but can get excited and bark at other dogs.
Basic Manners: Needs further training on basic manners, such as not getting too excited and learning to control her impulses.
Interactions with Kids and Other Animals:
Reactivity to Kids: Stella reacts to children with excitement, which can lead to chasing, barking, and hard nipping. She has been close to biting in moments of high excitement.
Other Dogs: She has met two dogs and was very playful, though a bit too energetic. On walks, she barks at other dogs out of excitement and needs guidance to remain calm.
Ideal Home:
Experience: Ideally, Stella needs an owner who has experience with training dogs and managing reactive behaviors.
Environment:A home without young children is preferred due to her reactivity. An active household that can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation would be ideal.
Patience and Training: Stella needs a family that can dedicate time to her training, especially in basic manners and managing her excitement around others.
Additional Information:
Crate and Supplies: Stella comes with a large amount of supplies and a season's worth of tick and flea medication for the summer.
Veterinary Care: Is up to date on her veterinary care. She had an infection following her spaying but has since recovered.
