ATHENA

Athena is a special 5-year-old, almost 6 American Bully cross weighing 45lbs, and she's been patiently waiting for her forever home for almost 2 years in a shelter.

Personality:

Athena may seem timid at first, but once she feels safe, she's a total Velcro pup, sticking close to her human. She's quiet, laid-back, and would fit perfectly into any home setting, whether it's an apartment, condo, townhouse, or detached home.

Energy Level:

Her energy is low, so whether it's going for a leisurely walk or just lounging around, Athena is happy as long as she's with her human.

Canine Compatibility:

She's great with other dogs, matching their energy levels perfectly, but she's also content being the solo pup in the household. Athena currently lives with both a 60lb Dogo and a 14lb ShiPoo and fits right in.

Kid Compatibility:

While she hasn't been around kids much, she may do better with older or dog-savvy kids due to her lack of confidence.

Training:

Fully crate trained, Athena happily chills in her crate, and she's not a chewer or destructive when left alone. She's still learning basic commands but is responsive and picks up cues quickly.

Behavior:

She's a dream to walk, no pulling, and very easy to handle. Not reactive to dogs, but she's wary of groups of people, though this may change as she grows more confident.

Car Rides & Preferences:

Car rides are a breeze for Athena; she takes a minute to get comfortable and then settles right in. While not particularly interested in toys, she loves her chew bones and adapts easily to both kibble and raw diets.

Medical:

Athena has no medical issues. She is spayed and up to date on her flea, tick, and heartworm pevention

Athena is truly the perfect dog for a first-time owner, relaxed, affectionate, and just goes with the flow.
