THELMA – AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Thelma is a 3-year-old Silver Lab weighing in at 35 pounds. She may be a little timid at first, but once she feels comfortable, her goofy and playful nature will shine through. She’s a low-energy girl who enjoys quiet, structured environments, making her a great companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate dog to relax with.Though Thelma has not been around kids, we believe she would be fine in a home with children due to her gentle nature. She does, however, need some time to adjust to new people or loud noises, so a calm and patient household would be ideal for her.

One of Thelma’s quirks is her love of stealing socks and underwear! She'll grab them and wait for you to chase her, making for a fun game of fetch. Once she’s happy, she might even rub her body on furniture or your clothing, almost like a cat, which is just too cute! She loves going on runs and getting outside, so an active household would be perfect. While she’s very dog-friendly and would be okay in a home with another dog, she may need time to decompress in a new environment. She’s also doing well with leash walks and behaves well on a leash.

Though Thelma can be a little shy and unsure at times, she’s a sweet soul who just needs a patient and understanding family to help her gain confidence. She’s still learning, and while she’s not always responsive to training yet, we believe she’ll blossom in the right home with love and consistency.
